Nancy O'Dell's initial work in the industry of broadcast was as a reporter/anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as anchor for the morning show and as a crime reporter. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's reporting on the lenient police approach towards DUI cases resulted in an State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to State authorities issuing an even more strict directive on these instances. It was reported that the Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years award in the entirety of South Carolina Media. O'Dell was a reporter and anchor for a time in Charleston reporting and anchor at NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station before moving over to Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter during weekends. O'Dell, in addition to anchoring the main show for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's reported on major events like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards in addition to hosting the Pre ShowArrivals Shows at The Emmys. Also, she co-hosted Miss USA's pageant as and the Miss Universe Pageant.
