Taylor-Joy, who was then aged 16 at the time, quit the school to pursue her acting career. Anya Taylor Joy, born on the 16th of April, 1996 in Miami Florida. She is half English mixed with Spanish she is the daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker, and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. The father of her mother, who is native of Argentina with Scottish and English roots is also her mother. Her Spanish and English-speaking mother is her father. Taylor-Joy's siblings are four of her father's previous marriage. The family relocated to Buenos Aires to Victoria, London at the age of six when Taylor-Joy was born. Taylor Joy claims that her move was very traumatic. She was not willing to learn English and hoped she could move back to Argentina. Hill House became her school that she chose after being forced to change schools. Then she went to Queen's Gate School, where she studied dance and performed in plays. When she was 16 she decided to leave school in order to pursue acting as a career. Taylor-Joy always had a dream to be an actor. At the age of 16, Sarah Doukas Founder of Storm Management gave her the opportunity to become a model.
